Each year, the 20,000 tonnes of wrapping paper thrown away in France at Christmas represent:

13,300 Peugeot 3008
125 Airbus A320
4 Eiffel Towers
20 million washing machines
100 million smartphones
2,500 city buses
2,000 Statues of Liberty
10 times around the Earth

Every year, the French buy 40 million rolls of wrapping paper.
Single-use, they go in the trash as soon as the gifts are unwrapped, generating more than 20,000 tons of waste (source: ADEME) at Christmas alone...
Unfortunately, not all of them are recyclable due to their glossy or plastic finishes.

The beginnings in 2019
The idea was born during the 2018 holiday season, faced with the pile of wrapping paper under the tree. When it comes to reducing waste, there's a lot of work to be done at Christmas, and unfortunately, there's little to help with this.

Our mission
We are Emmanuelle and Frédéric, Bretons who are fans of zero waste and want to make gift wrapping an aesthetic and ethical object, combining the environment, people and French know-how!
To offer an ethical, quality and affordable alternative, our Paké are:
100% made in France, locally sourced, and with recycled fibers.

Our recycled fibers
Our fabrics are 100% recycled. Made from recycled polyester for vibrant colors and recycled cotton for a soft feel.
Our polyester is made from recycled plastic bottles. Each pack can be used to recycle 2 to 4 plastic bottles, depending on its size.
The cotton comes either from scraps (pre-consumer recycling) or from recycled clothing (post-consumer recycling).

Weaving
We weave our Paké in France, and this is important to us, because few textiles are woven locally today.
The weaving workshop complies with an ethical charter that aims to revive “Made in France” and relocate jobs in the sector. It operates with 100% renewable energy for a minimized carbon impact.

The making
Just like weaving and printing, the making of our Paké is done in France, with love.
